Louise Doughty is the author of nine novels including the No 1 bestseller Apple Tree Yard, which was adapted as a four-part BBC One series starring Emily Watson. Her sixth novel, Whatever You Love, was shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award and longlisted for the Orange (Women's) Prize for Fiction and she has been nominated for multiple other awards including the Sunday Times Short Story Prize. Her first original drama for TV, Crossfire, starring Keeley Hawes, will be broadcast on BBC One in September 2022. She has been translated into thirty languages. Faber & Faber will publish her tenth novel in 2023.
